A new solo show, Blind Files, opens Friday, May 8 at Review Studios in Kansas City, and closes on June 12, 2009.

The video work of Andrea Flamini will be the subject of a mid-career retrospective in Rome this December. A selection of 13 works will be presented –from his early database narrative projects to the most recent works from the Notebooks series. The premiere of The Edge of Things, Flamini’s latest work, on December 12, will conclude the program.
The retrospective is part of Italian Experimental Cinema, a festival and multimedia event also featuring, among others, the work of Luca Buvoli, Luigi Veronesi, Carlo Zanni, and Zimmerfrei.
Italian Experimental Cinema takes a critical look at Italian artists working with the moving image from Futurism to the most recent developments. The Festival runs from December 10 to the 14, at the Nuovo Cinema Aquila, with special events at the French Embassy in piazza Farnese in Rome.
Sponsors are the Comune di Roma, and the French Embassy in Italy. The event is organized by ComPlus Events. A catalog will accompany the event.
